Fruits are the most healthy and natural existing fruit in the world. Benefits of eating fruits are in taking one of the best sources of vitamins, enzymes, and minerals. Why I say its one of the better ways to collect these sources is the body can break down and absorb it easier than other foods. Also fruits are known to be high in fibers and have very little calories. Fiber is mainly found in plant foods, but when we eat foods with fiber we do not fully digest it.
The American Dietetic Association states that women should be consuming around 25 grams per day and men should be consuming around 38 grams. The reasoning that men’s consume rate is high is because they eat more calories than women do usually. It’s important to consume the recommended amounts because, it can help prevent you from gaining weight. As well fiber can help lower your cholesterol, or even help heart disease if you consume enough.
A lot of fruits are also high on potassium which is very important when it comes to balance your body fluids. Potassium is the most essential nutrient to provide normal physiological function. Potassium has many important functions in the human body. A few examples of this include maintain normal heart rate, normal muscle function, and normal pH blood levels. Low blood potassium levels is referred to as hypokalemia where as high blood potassium blood level are referred to as hyperkalemia. Some signs of abnormal potassium blood levels include muscles cramps, increased or decrease of heart rate, and dehydration. There are many foods that provide a great source of potassium and some of those are bananas, beets, greens, strawberries, prunes, tomatoes, watermelon, and the list goes on…
